Request a Post

Tell Tumbleweed about an event, sale, or idea coming up, and it plans a post for you.

How do I request a post?

To request a post, open Work, then Calendar, select Request a post, describe what is coming up, and select Save request.

  1. Open Calendar. In the left menu, select Work, then Calendar.

The Calendar page header with the Request a post button
  2. Select Request a post. The button is at the top right of the page, next to Add a key date and Create Post. On a phone, open the Add menu and choose Request a post.

The Request a post, Add a key date, and Create Post buttons
  3. Say what it is about. In What's it about?, type what is coming up, such as an open house, new arrivals, or a holiday sale.

  4. Choose a date. Under When is it?, use the calendar picker or type the date as MM/DD/YYYY. If you do not have one yet, tick No date yet, just an idea, and add the date later. Tumbleweed reads the date back to you with the day of the week, so there is no mix-up.

  5. Add details, if you like. In Anything we should know?, add times, prices, or who to call. This box is optional.

  6. Select Save request. If something is missing, the message appears right under that field. To close the window without saving, select Never mind.

  7. Follow your requests. Your requests appear in Workflow Hub, grouped as Coming up, Ideas, Done, Missed, and Canceled. You can edit or cancel any of them. If a request's date passes before a post goes out, it moves to Missed.

Tip

Admins and Editors can request posts, and everyone on the team can see what was asked for. Turn on weekly suggested posts, and Tumbleweed puts your requests first when it plans your week. Every post still waits for your approval.
