How Channels Work

A channel is a social account you connect to Tumbleweed so you can publish, schedule, and measure from one place. There are nine to choose from.

The nine channels

Tumbleweed connects to Facebook, Google Business, Instagram, LinkedIn, Reddit, Threads, TikTok, X, and YouTube. Each has its own card on the Channels page, under Work.

Connecting

Select Connect Account on a channel's card. A window from that network opens, where you sign in and choose the account, page, or channel to connect. On Facebook, each Page is its own account, so connect every Page you plan to use. When it works, the card shows a green check and the name of the account.

Channels belong to a workspace

Connect channels inside the workspace that will use them.

Where connected channels show up

Connected channels appear as buttons when you create a post, and in the Analytics views. Right after you connect, Analytics shows the channel as Pending until the first nightly sync.

Disconnecting and staying informed

Select Disconnect on a channel's card to remove it. Tumbleweed also emails you when a channel connects or disconnects, so a broken connection does not silently stop your posts. These emails are always on.
